MFDR is a foster-based dog rescue operating out of foster homes in Radford, Blacksburg, and surrounding communities in Southwestern Virginia.

 

One of our veterinarians launched MFDR in 2020. It was always her dream to start a rescue, but after starting as an ER veterinarian in 2019 and having four medical cases surrendered (to pay for, medically treat, and then re-home) in the first year alone, MFDR became a necessity.
